Mahatma Gandhi Born on October 2, 1869, in Porbandar, Gandhi was influenced by his mother’s values of truth and non-violence.
In 1888, Gandhi studied law in London, encountering diverse cultures that shaped his beliefs.
Gandhi moved to South Africa in 1893, facing racial discrimination and advocating for Indian rights.
In 1906, Gandhi created the idea of Satyagraha, which means using truth and non-violence to fight against unfairness.
Gandhi came back to India in 1915. He became a leader in the Indian National Congress and worked for India’s independence.
In 1917, Gandhi helped farmers in Champaran who were treated unfairly by the British.
