Qatar Iran discuss mediation efforts as regional tensions escalate
In a renewed effort to ease mounting tensions in West Asia, Qatar's Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to discuss mediation efforts and the rapidly evolving regional security situation, according to an official statement issued by the Qatari government.
