State Harela plantation drive to begin from Jageshwar next week
Bageshwar: Uttarakhand’s Harela plantation campaign, the state’s annual afforestation drive linked to the traditional festival, will begin from Jageshwar temple on July 16, with chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami proposed to attend the state-level event. The month-long campaign, launched in 2015, recorded its highest plantation last year, with 8.13 lakh saplings planted across the state.
