Flood-Like Situation in Jammu & Kashmir, Badrinath Highway Disrupted
Heavy rainfall has triggered severe weather conditions in the Himalayan region. A cloudburst in Jammu & Kashmir has resulted in flood-like conditions in several areas, affecting normal life and prompting emergency response efforts.
Meanwhile, in Uttarakhand, the Badrinath Highway remained closed for several hours due to landslides and debris caused by continuous rain, disrupting the movement of pilgrims and local traffic. Road restoration work is underway.
Delhi-NCR Braces for Strong Winds and Heavy Showers
The IMD has forecast heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds of up to 70 km/h across Delhi-NCR. Residents have been advised to stay indoors during periods of intense weather, as strong gusts may lead to falling trees, traffic disruptions, and localized power outages.
Mumbai on High Tide Alert
Mumbai is also on high alert as authorities warn of high tides with sea waves expected to rise above 4 meters. Citizens and tourists have been urged to stay away from beaches and coastal areas until conditions improve. Disaster management teams remain on standby to respond to any emergencies.
Officials across affected states are closely monitoring the situation and have urged people to remain updated through official weather bulletins while taking necessary precautions.
